Delicious Breakfast Shake!

I don't know about you but mornings are CRAZY and if I have time to eat its usually a piece of fruit as I'm running out the door or after a poopie bum :)  Until I discovered this!  A delicious, fast, easy, nutritious shake that will keep you full until lunch and has the protein you need to jump start your morning metabolism.  Plus you will actually enjoy drinking it instead of forcing it down!














Cook 1/3 c oats in the microwave. I usually do  1/3 c rolled oats in a bowl and just cover with water, put in the microwave for 1 min then open and 1 min again (if you do 2 min at once it'll overflow).  While that is cooking-

In a blender add:
1/2 banana
1 heaping scoop of vanilla protein powder of your choice
handful of ice
8 oz milk
1/2 t cinnamon

Once oatmeal is done- add to blender, and turn on until ice is crushed!  Poor into your favorite on the go cup and enjoy!  Yummmmm!



This is totally not my chasing poopie bums cup- I prefer my big hospital cup from when I had my baby :) but for you...the pretty one!
IDEAS:  freeze for popsicles or make a double batch and store extra in the fridge for tomorrow!

Better-heck ya!  The pre-made breakfast shakes have such an awful after taste! *check*
Healthier-totally!  With the combination of potassium filled banana, protein, and the fiber from the oatmeal you'll feel great and energized after drinking this-and no added sugar! *check*
Cheaper- I should say so!  Carnation breakfast essentials drink mixes are around $0.80/piece and that's without the milk!  *check*
